Yes. You can try every feature free for 14 days, with no credit card required. Just downloadand start writing. After that, you can still open and read your projects — they’re never locked away.
Yes. Import your manuscript, review its chapter and scene structure, and continue developing your story in Codiko. See the importing guide for supported formats and steps.
No. You can use the editor, story workspace, characters, timelines, and export tools without AI.
AI support is optional. If you use it, you can ask for ideas, feedback, or suggested edits. You review the suggestions and choose what to use in your work.
Cloud providers charge separately for usage through your own account. Local models have no provider usage fee, but need suitable hardware and setup. You can use Codiko without either.
Your project files are stored on your computer. If you use cloud AI, relevant story content is sent to your chosen provider. Keep backups of your project files as you would with other important writing.
Yes. Export your manuscript and use KDP-ready presets to help prepare files for self-publishing. Codiko does not publish directly to Amazon or guarantee acceptance. Check your exported files against your publisher's requirements.
