Presets
Codiko includes built-in presets so you don’t have to configure everything from scratch:
- Amazon KDP (Print) — 6×9″ trim with KDP-compliant margins, mirror margins for print binding, and page numbers
- Amazon KDP (Ebook) — EPUB optimised for Kindle with reflowable content and table of contents
- Print Book (Trade) — standard A5 trade paperback layout
- Print Book (Mass Market) — compact B-format for mass-market paperbacks
- Standard Manuscript — industry-standard format for publisher submissions (double-spaced, wide margins)
- Reading Copy — comfortable layout for proofreading with generous spacing
- Ebook / Digital — optimised for screen reading with block paragraphs
Select a preset from the dropdown, then adjust any setting to suit your needs. If you change a setting, you’ll see a “Modified” badge — click Reset to return to the preset defaults.

Live Preview
PDF and EPUB exports include a live preview panel. As you change settings, the preview updates to show how your book will look. Navigate between pages using the controls at the bottom.
What’s Included
Exports include all scenes within the selected book, assembled in order with chapter headings. Scene breaks are preserved. Formatting (bold, italic, headings, blockquotes) is carried through to all formats. Front matter and back matter pages (dedication, about the author, etc.) are included in their correct positions.
What’s Not Included
Exports contain the manuscript prose only. Characters, timeline data, world-building entries, and notes are not included in the export — these are part of your .codiko project file.
